Mike Atkinson has been grafting plumerias for over 10 years and will teach you why to do it and the basics of successfully grafting plumerias in this small, interactive workshop environment. He’ll not only teach you what to do, but he’ll also show you.

Check-in begins 15 minutes before the event starts. Please give yourself enough time to arrive, park, and get a seat, as the event will begin promptly at the start time.
This class is held in an intimate, in-person setting on Atkinson Plumeria Farm in our open, shaded classroom. It is a rain-or-shine event.

Mike has grown plumerias with his wife Stacy on San Diego’s Mt Helix for over 25 years. The PBS program “A Growing Passion” featured Mike and his farm on their Emmy-winning episode about plumerias. He has taught plumeria workshops in Southern California (San Diego Horticultural Society, San Diego Botanic Garden, Master Gardeners, plus many garden clubs and nurseries), all US plumeria societies, and the International Plumeria Conference in Florida. He is a longtime volunteer and speaker with the Southern California Plumeria Society, has authored many articles, and has been interviewed many times, including by the Los Angeles Times.
