This class is held in an intimate, in-person setting on Atkinson Plumeria Farm in our open, shaded classroom. It is a rain-or-shine event.

Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the event time. Please allow yourself sufficient time to arrive, park, and find a seat, as the event will begin promptly at the scheduled start time.

Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before the event. Eventbrite ticket fees will be deducted (around 8%).

About Mike

Mike has owned a plumeria farm in San Diego’s East County on Mt. Helix (La Mesa) with his wife, Stacy, for over 30 years. Annually, they sell hundreds of plumerias, host two large sales for 1,000 or more people, hold 50 classes for hundreds of people, offer in-garden consultations, sell 15,000 or more flowers, and reach over 1 million people worldwide on social media. The PBS program “A Growing Passion” featured them and their farm in an Emmy Award-winning episode showcasing plumerias. He has taught numerous plumeria workshops in Southern California (including the San Diego Horticultural Society, San Diego Botanic Garden, Master Gardeners, and many garden clubs and nurseries). He is the only person to speak at all official plumeria societies in the US. He was on the steering committees for the 2016 & 2023 International Plumeria Conferences. He is a longtime volunteer and speaker with the Southern California Plumeria Society.
