For your elevated lei-making experience, allow your senses to imagine the sweet fragrance of plumeria flowers, luscious food from an award-winning restaurant, champagne bubbles tickling your nose, gentle Hawaiian music, and fellowship with old friends, new friends, the Atkinsons, and a San Diego Chef of the Year.

This beautiful experience will happen at Terra American Bistro on Saturday, September 9, from 10 am to 1 pm. Learn how to make an authentic Hawaiian plumeria neck lei (lei ʻāʻī) with the kui method! The amazing Stacy Atkinson , with Mike’s assistance, will guide you through the entire process. As a bonus, you’ll also learn how to make a plumeria hairpiece. All materials and supplies are included in your registration. You’ll get to take home what you make.

Brunch will be a fantastic array of food by San Diego Chef of the Year, plumeria lover, and Terra owner Jeff Rossman. Here’s the menu:

  • Caramelized Onion & Goat Cheese Frittata
  • French Toast Casserole with jim beam butterscotch
  • Avocado Toast with watermelon radish, heirloom tomato, hard-boiled egg
  • Cous Cous Salad with toasted pine nuts, dried cranberries, basil, caramelized onion, sauteed zuchini
  • Ginger Mint Fruit Skewers with cardamom-honey yogurt
  • Fresh brewed coffee and orange juice plus Champagne or mimosas included

The cost is $85 per person.
